Unable to attend an AiMCO Accreditation Course or Event you have paid for?
Outlined below are the measures that may be taken if you are unable to attend an AiMCO Accreditation Course or event that you had paid for.
Nominate a Substitute Attendee
If an individual withdraws from the program after payment and registration, another person can be substituted for that person. Sending a substitute is the best way to ensure you or your organisation retains the full value for its capability development investment.
- Written notification of a substitute attendee must be received a minimum of 14 days prior to the course or event.
- All written notifications must include your name and company details, the course or event name, timing, the name and contact information for your substitute and the original invoice number.
For the avoidance of doubt, requests made for substitute once an AiMCO Accreditation course has commenced, are not permitted, and will not be granted.
Deferment
If a substitute is unavailable, then you may apply for a deferment prior to commencement of the course semester.
- Written notification requesting deferment must be received a minimum of 14 days prior to the start of the online course.
- The written notification must include your name and the course or event name and the original tax invoice number or a copy of the original tax invoice receipt.
- Deferments are not applicable to one-off live events.
- Deferments are strictly non-transferable between businesses.
AiMCO courses deferred: a credit with a 6-month expiry (from the original commencement date) is issued.
Individual commences but is unable to complete the course
AiMCO provides for attendees to do catch up modules in order to complete a course and undertake the course knowledge tests.
Content Modules and Catch-Up Modules
The content in the AiMCO Accreditation is provided via the Thinkific platform in a ‘drip feed’ format for self-completion of modules and course tests.
The content is made available for 3 months for participants; to access content after this date catch up fees may apply.
Registration provides access to the specific course content provided at that date and does not entitle attendees to course updates or changed course content.
Legal and regulatory information and content included in the AiMCO Accreditation program is for general information purposes only, should not be considered legal advice, and should not be relied upon as a substitute for specific legal advice.
AiMCO recommends that parties obtain legal advice in relation to specific issues and campaigns, as what may appear to be a minor detail, can significantly change the legal position from that generally discussed in any content provided in the program.
Catch Up Modules
A fee is applicable for AiMCO Accreditation catch up modules and progression to accreditation status.
Written notification is required from the attendee so that we can determine the status of their course completion to date.
Members fee is $220 including GST and non-members is $440 including GST is payable to access course additional content in order to repeat or finish an AiMCO Accreditation program and progress to completion and the chance to attain the AiMCO Accreditation Badge.
Force Majeure
To the maximum extent permitted by law, and without limiting any other provision of these Website Terms and Conditions, AiMCO excludes liability for any delay in performing any of its obligations under these Website Terms and Conditions where such delay is caused by circumstances beyond the reasonable control of AiMCO, and AiMCO shall be entitled to a reasonable extension of time for the performance of such obligations.
In the event of a force majeure, AiMCO reserves the right to cancel events following guidelines issued by local and international authorities. AiMCO will act in good faith in delivering the AiMCO Accreditation where possible.
AiMCO Accreditation Digital Badge
The AiMCO Accreditation Badge is only available to individuals who have completed the full program and passed the applicable tests to the prescribed pass level.
This allows the participant to show and promote that they have completed and passed the applicable AiMCO Accreditation course.
You acknowledge that AiMCO Accreditation provides training as an industry developed course and not a university accredited course.
AiMCO uses Accredible Platform (accredible.com) a credentials software that provides unique badges to the successful attendees.
While badges are simply digital image files, they are uniquely linked to data hosted on the Accredible platform. This link to verified data makes the badges more reliable and secure than a paper-based certificate.
You can share your digital badge directly from the Accredible platform to LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram and Facebook; over email; embedded in a website or in your email signature.
You can also choose a badge or a certificate as Accredible provides both:
- If you want your credential to be widely shared, use a Digital Badge.
- If you want specific details to appear on your credentials, like names and issue dates, use a certificate.
Once awarded with a badge you can download it via Accredible's Retrieve Credentials Tool a page that will fetch any credentials associated with a recipient's email address and send them links to each credential.
You can learn more about Accredible here.
